Inside Sales Representative - WT

InPro Corporation
United States, North Carolina, Charlotte

Description
Inside Sales Representative
Mint Hill, NC | Inpro

Are you the person who sees an opportunity and thinks, "Let's make it happen"?

We're looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Mint Hill, NC. This is not your typical inside sales role. You'll be part sales strategist, part relationship builder, part project quarterback-and a trusted resource for customers from the first conversation all the way through delivery.

At Inpro, we believe great sales relationships are built on more than a quote. They're built on understanding the customer, knowing the product, solving problems, following through, and earning the next opportunity.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Do
Find the Opportunity

You'll actively build the pipeline-not wait for it to come to you.

  • Prospect for new customers, projects, and opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns, referrals, trade shows, construction reporting services, BuildingConnected, and other lead sources.

  • Identify opportunities within existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.

  • Develop relationships with architects, designers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, dealers, and other key decision-makers.

  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers to develop and execute regional sales strategies.

  • Keep a pulse on competitors, market activity, and emerging projects.

Build Relationships That Drive Business

You'll become a trusted resource for customers and sales partners.

  • Support key, national, corporate, and strategic accounts.

  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for questions about products, pricing, quotes, orders, shipments, and project status.

  • Uncover customer needs, address objections, recommend solutions, and move opportunities forward.

  • Educate customers on product features, applications, benefits, and value.

  • Build strong partnerships with Regional Sales Managers and internal teams.

Become the Product Expert

You don't need to know everything on day one-but you should be curious enough to want to learn it.

You'll develop expertise in our products, applications, specifications, installation considerations, and competitive solutions. You'll use that knowledge to:

  • Prepare accurate, competitive quotes and bids.

  • Recommend products and technical solutions.

  • Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

  • Support product substitutions and submittal packages.

  • Provide product samples, specifications, and project documentation.

  • Present virtual CEU courses and participate in customer and dealer training.

Be the Sales "Quarterback"

Once an opportunity becomes a project, you'll help keep all the moving pieces on track.

You'll coordinate with Customer Care, Technical Support, Engineering, Operations, Production, Finance, Shipping, and other teams to move projects from quote order production shipment.

That means communicating proactively about:

  • Product availability and lead times

  • Production constraints

  • Project requirements

  • Order changes

  • Shipping and delivery

  • Customer expectations

  • Issues that could impact the project

When something goes wrong, you won't simply pass the problem along. You'll own it, coordinate the right resources, and help find the solution.

What Makes Someone Successful Here?

We're looking for someone who is:

Hungry. You enjoy prospecting, finding opportunities, and winning business.

Curious. You want to understand how products work, how they're used, and how to solve customer problems.

Persistent. You follow up. Then you follow up again. You don't let good opportunities disappear.

Organized. You can manage multiple customers, quotes, projects, deadlines, and priorities without losing the details.

Commercially minded. You understand that great customer service and profitable growth go hand in hand.

A communicator. You can talk comfortably with a contractor in the morning, an architect in the afternoon, and an internal engineering partner later that day.

A team player. You know when to take ownership and when to bring in the right expert.

A problem solver. When a customer says, "We have a problem," your first thought is, "How can we solve it?"

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Communications, or a related field preferred-or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, business development, customer service, project coordination, or a related customer-facing role preferred.

  • Experience in commercial construction, architectural products, building materials, manufacturing, or contract furnishings is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, identify customer needs, develop opportunities, and advance sales.

  • Strong relationship-building and professional selling skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, customers, quotes, and deadlines.

  • Comfort working with-or willingness to learn-architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

  • A genuine interest in learning technical products and applications.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or other CRM/ERP systems is a plus.

  • Self-motivation, initiative, accountability, and persistence.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.

  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% for customer meetings, training, trade shows, and other business activities.

Why This Role Matters

You won't just be processing orders or answering phones.

You'll help create the business.

You'll find the opportunity, build the relationship, understand the project, recommend the solution, win the order, and help make sure the customer gets what they need.

You'll have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships across the commercial construction industry while becoming a true expert in our products and solutions.

And you'll do it alongside a team of sales professionals and internal partners who are invested in winning together.

Ready to make an impact?

If you're a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business, solving customer problems, learning technical products, and turning opportunities into results, this could be your next move.
