The Fiscal Management Specialist 3 for the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs is an exciting chance to support work that strengthens financial operations across the agency. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports major financial planning and reporting that help the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs operate responsibly. It leads important budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and supervision responsibilities that strengthen fiscal operations. As a Fiscal Management Specialist 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Budget Preparation: Prepare state budget documents, rebudget materials, spending plans, and projections
- Financial Reporting: Review expenditures, create weekly reports, track funds, and complete fiscal adjustments
- Staff Supervision: Guide and support two Fiscal Management Specialist 2 employees through daily tasks and responsibilities
- Audit Response: Research financial issues, prepare corrective action updates, and respond to audit requests
- Document Review: Approve invoices, salary adjustments, travel codes, and fiscal correspondence
- Project Development: Create and manage Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs), Notification of Subgrants (NOS), and related amendments

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. You will be required to report in-office 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and for special events. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
