Job Summary The Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute is seeking an experienced and collaborative Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy ambulatory practice. In this role, you will lead administrative and clinical support teams, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and help create an exceptional experience for both patients and staff. As a key member of the leadership team, you will partner with physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative colleagues to support operational excellence, staff development, and continuous improvement. Essential Functions Lead the daily operations of the practice and ensure efficient workflows. Supervise administrative and clinical support staff. Manage staffing, scheduling, and coverage to support patient care. Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop team members. Coach and mentor staff to support performance and career growth. Ensure compliance with policies, HIPAA, and required training. Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency. Monitor practice performance metrics and support ongoing improvements. Partner with leadership on budgeting, planning, and resource management. Oversee payroll processes and support accurate timekeeping. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational goals. Provide leadership support and coverage as needed. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Experience 5-7 years supervisory experience required 5-7 years experience working in a healthcare environment required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Strong and proven leadership skills. - Ability to work with staff of all levels. - Excellent time management skills. - Strong analytical and math skills. - Knowledge of Accounting Principles, physician billing, and revenue cycle management. - Ability to adapt to multiple and rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
