As business models, infrastructure requirements, customer demand patterns, and product strategies continue to evolve, leaders require increasingly sophisticated planning frameworks and financial insights to guide decision making.

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead Integrated Financial Planning across Azure and AI.This role will serve as akeyconnectoracross Financeteamsthreadinginvestment decisions, business performance, and long-range strategic priorities into a cohesive planning framework.

The successful candidate willoperateacross organizational boundaries to synthesize complex and often disparate inputs into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Success requires exceptional business judgment, systems thinking, strategic perspective, and the ability to connect financial outcomes to underlying business drivers.

This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, buildingstructurewhere noneexists, and influencing executive decisions through insights.



Responsibilities

Lead Integrated Financial Planning

  • Drive end-to-end planning processes across annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and strategic investment reviews.

  • Develop planning frameworks that connect business strategy, financial performance, infrastructure investments, and operational execution.

  • Partner across multiple organizations to ensure planning assumptions are aligned, transparent, and actionable.

  • Continuously evolve planning methodologies to reflect changing business models and strategic priorities.

Drive Strategic Insights and Decision Support

  • Identifyemerging business trends, risks, and opportunities across Azure and AI.

  • Develop driver-based analyses that connect operationalmetricsto financial outcomes.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities, resource allocation decisions, and strategic tradeoffs.

  • Frame complex issues into clear recommendations for leadership discussions.

Connect Across Organizations

  • Serve as a key partner across Product Revenue & Margin teams, CPI leadership, Corporate Finance, and other planning stakeholders.

  • Build alignment across organizations with differing priorities, assumptions, andobjectives.

  • Act as a connective tissue across planning workstreams to ensure leadership has a consistent understanding of business performance and outlook.

Improve Planning Excellence

  • Establish scalable planning processes, tools, and analytical frameworks.

  • Drive improvements in planning quality, forecast accuracy, and decision support.

  • Simplify complex financial concepts and communicate insights effectively to executive audiences.

  • Create consistency across reporting, planning, and performance measurement frameworks.

InfluenceExecutive Decision Making

  • Support leadership reviews, business performance discussions, and executive presentations.

  • Develop comprehensive narratives that integrate financial results, operational metrics, and strategic context.

  • Provide objective perspectives on business tradeoffs and investment decisions.

  • Help leadership navigate ambiguity in a rapidly evolving business environment.



Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 3+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 3+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience building executive-level presentations and business narratives.
  • Experience supporting cloud, AI, infrastructure, or technology businesses.
  • Experience with long-range planning, strategic planning, investment governance, or corporate finance.
  • Ability to connect financial, operational, and technical concepts into cohesive business insights.
  • Demonstrated success working in highly ambiguous environments.
  • High-performing executive presence and stakeholder management skills.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
