Job Overview:

The Director of Tax will befocused on Tax Accounting & Complianceandwilloversee the ASC 740 (Income Taxes) reportingprocess.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Review fixed asset reconciliations and tax depreciation records.
  • Assist in the ASC 740 provision processes, including the calculation of deferred tax assets and liabilities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for tax-related audits and provide necessary documentation
  • Mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support compliance and planning initiatives.
  • Work closely with finance, accounting, and legal teams to ensure alignment on tax-related matters.
  • Act as a point of contact for tax issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Tax which may include acquisition and divestitures, analysis for accounting method changes and supporting tax planning and strategies through research or data analysis.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced orMaster's Degreefrom an accredited institution,preferred.
  • Licensed CPA (may be inactive).
  • 10+ years of work experience in the tax field (public accounting experience preferred).
  • Experiencewith ONESOURCE Tax Compliance Softwareand ONESOURCE Tax Provision is crucial.
  • Understanding of corporate and partnership taxation and commensurate research skills.


Preferred Job Requirements:

  • SAGEFixed Asset Software experience. preferred.
  • Familiaritywith commonly used tax conceptsincorporate and partnership taxation.
  • Familiarity or experience with healthcare industry taxation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes.
