Job Summary

As the Optimum Director of Sales Readiness, you will play a pivotal role leading the execution of supporting the Optimum Consumer organization with a focus on Contact Centers, Field Sales, Retail Sales, Digital Sales, or the Optimum Market Structure. This highly consultative role will be responsible for driving execution of program management across all deliverables and considerations associated with preparing sales teams to successfully capitalize on growth opportunities. Learning and communications programs will focus on selling skills, product knowledge, order quality, leadership development, and distance learning. All of which should be adaptable to respond to changing business needs. This director role will drive accountability regarding the consistency, extensiveness, and overall effectiveness of sales launch readiness, communications, and training. The Director of Sales Readiness, and their direct reports, will partner with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and make decisions related to training, communications, reporting, compensation impacts, and system considerations. This position will report to the Senior Director of Sales Readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team that develops and maintains channel- customized readiness playbooks to effectively execute program management of process and procedure enhancements and product, service, and offer campaigns and initiatives and capture key lessons learned.
  • Focus on Results: ensure visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) and ongoing measurement of results to ensure business outcomes are achieved, understand the effectiveness of readiness campaigns, and/or identify and opportunities for transformative improvements.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Engagement teams to collect feedback, review results, and foster anenvironment of continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure team is identifying, securing, and assessing curricula/content, reporting, compensation impacts and systems/tool processes and enhancements that will enable sales frontline teams' productivity, effectiveness, and customer engagement.
  • Address opportunities proactively.
  • Create visibility and transparency across cross functional teams wherever it is missing.
  • Monitor adherence to readiness playbooks and key performance indicators in sales cycles to identify process pain points and inform data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales readiness roadmap to lock-in plans in advance that ensure that sales teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to understand the unique needs and challenges of the sales organization, and tailor sales readiness programs to address specific needs.
  • Design and deliver product knowledge, sales methodologies, objection handling, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment and integration of sales readiness initiatives with go-to-market strategies, product launches, and sales campaigns.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales readiness team, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or relevant field is required
  • 5-7 years of in sales enablement, sales training, within a B2C environment
  • 3+ years in a leadership position
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful sales readiness programs and initiatives that have positively impacted sales performance and results
  • Track record for effective coaching and leading highly engaged teams
  • Deep understanding of B2C sales processes, customer engagement strategies, and sales methodologies to address the unique needs of sales channels
  • Strong project management skills
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to measure the impact of sales readiness programs and make data-driven decisions
  • Executive presence and highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and self- directed
  • Excellent problem-solving, judgement, and decision-making skills in highly complex situations

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $141,372.00 - $201,960.00 year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
