Job Duties



  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, final, and finished goods inspections.
  • Use precision measuring tools to inspect raw materials, components, and assemblies.
  • Document inspection results and prepare quality reports, including AS9102 First Article Inspections.
  • Identify, track, and assist with resolution of non-conforming materials and corrective actions.
  • Verify product quality, traceability, and compliance with customer and company standards.
  • Conduct audits, material reviews, and kit inspections to ensure process integrity.
  • Maintain inspection records, SPC data, and calibration of inspection equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and support a quality-focused culture.
  • Follow safety, housekeeping, quality procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives.



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.



Experience Requirements



  • Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Must have solid reading, writing and comprehension in order to understand instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Active listening.
  • Possess a sound understanding of shop math and basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, confirm facts, and execute solutions for corresponding problems.
  • Understand technical instructions in mathematics and diagrams.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Inspector.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of experience in quality control function in manufacturing environment.



Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
