Schedule: 1st 6 am - 2:30 pm

Job Duties



  • Lead a team of 3 and be a liaison between customer and vendor.
  • Visual inspection for defects on small automotive parts.
  • Responsible for sorting, testing, inspection, and rework.
  • Assure company standards are maintained, and product integrity is preserved throughout the procedure.
  • Adhere to identified standards of safety and quality.
  • Accurately complete paperwork; use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Works under a supervisor and needs to understand oral and written instructions.
  • Performs visual and dimensional inspections and/or tests materials per written instruction.
  • Operates equipment like go/no-go gauges, standard gauges, micrometers, and other test equipment.
  • May use hand tools like crimpers, drills, and files.
  • Marks the type of defect on rejected parts and documents as instructed in work instructions.
  • Process tags and non-conforming material documents.


Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.


Experience Requirements



  • Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Lead.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 40 pounds when required.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
