Description and Requirements

As the Tablet Product Manager for NA, you are responsible for owning the portfolio planning end-to-end and building excitement about Lenovo's products. You own competitive analysis, product requirements, feature prioritization, product level P&L analysis and product positioning in the commercial and consumer market for North America. You must work cross-functionally with Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Supply/Demand planning and WW Business Units to create a profitable portfolio that is compelling to end-user consumers and Omni-channel partners. This role enables you to shape product development, build relationships with alliance partners, organize product launches, and own the NA product strategy from beginning to end.

This position has a hybrid schedule based out of Morrisville, NC with 3 onsite and 2 remote days per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and evangelize a multi-year product roadmap that aligns with the broader business objectives. You don't just follow the strategy; you help shape it.
  • Stay up to date with relevant technology trends and product roadmaps.
  • Business Orchestration: Act as the "CEO of the Product." Monitor P&L impact, analyze market trends, and identify new revenue streams or cost-saving efficiencies within the product ecosystem.
  • Drive end-to-end product management execution from concept phase to plan, development, worldwide product launch, sustaining and product end-of-life to maximize sales and reduce liability.
  • Scan competitive landscape; analyze market data to support category financial objectives.
  • Represent market requirements in collaboration with WW Business Unit to achieve time, cost, product feature and innovation objectives.
  • Own go-to-market strategy, set and communicate expectations for execution across the Omni-channel.
  • Create product disclosure and competitive analysis report to support successful product launches.
  • Work cross-functionally to create and implement a plan to sell Lenovo products with our Sales team, Account Planners, marketing, and other internal parties at Lenovo.
  • Communicate and pitch our product plans and strategies to our partners directly
  • Help to redefine the internal process for forecasting and ordering to allow for on-time product launches as dictated by market dynamics

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager working within the PC or computer hardware industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Product Manager working with commercial electronics and tablets.
  • Proven track record of successful launch of Enterprise products.
  • Demonstrated cross-collaboration experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers, senior management and functional working groups.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Superior communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation-oriented approach.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills: data-driven approach desired.
  • Strong command of project management software: MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence.
  • Cultural Competency working across Chinese, American, Desi, European, and South American cultural contexts, ensuring messages are communicated with clarity and tact.
  • PMP, Scrum certifications a plus.
