Overview
This is a hybrid role to be based in Raleigh, NC with the expectation that work time will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. First Citizens invests in community development initiatives that expand/preserve affordable housing, support small businesses, and strengthen underserved communities. This role supports the sourcing, underwriting, and closing of investments that advance both community impact and the bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) commitments. Investment Consultants work across a variety of community development products, including Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) funds, Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs), workforce housing, affordable housing preservation, and other community development investments. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced investment professionals, external fund managers, and community development partners while contributing to investments that generate both financial and social impact. The position will primarily focus on non-tax credit affordable housing investments while providing opportunities to gain experience across the full range of community development investment products. Responsibilities & Qualifications
Position Specific Skills: Customer Relations Builds Productive Relationships Consulting Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in community development finance, impact investing, affordable housing, private equity funds, commercial credit, investment underwriting, real estate finance, or related fields. OR, High School Diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience in these or related areas.
