Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Looking for CNC Shop Supervisor jobs in Danielsville where you can lead from the floor and keep production moving? This opportunity puts your leadership, manufacturing experience, and problem-solving skills to work keeping people productive, quality high, and safety at the center of every shift.

Job Duties



  • Set up the full production cycle and operate CNC Lathe machines for tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with time-keeping and performance management procedures.
  • Oversee employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to support team development and productivity.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new employees, as well as provide ongoing education and skill development for the team.
  • Expedite and prioritize shop orders through the department to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure smooth manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly processes.
  • Ensure the team maintains machines and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner, addressing safety concerns promptly.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Address and resolve production or personnel issues promptly to avoid disruptions to operations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.


Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, technical training, manufacturing coursework, or leadership development training is preferred.


Experience Requirements



  • Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related industrial environment.
  • Experience leading employees, coordinating production activities, or providing day-to-day direction to a production team.
  • Knowledge of production processes, workplace safety, quality standards, and productivity expectations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use basic computer systems, production tracking software, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Ability to lead by example, hold team members accountable, and respond effectively to changing production priorities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in CNC programming, CNC operation, and machining, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Two or more years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, shift lead, or production leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, production metrics, scheduling, or quality systems is beneficial.
  • Experience coordinating with maintenance, quality, warehouse, engineering, or other operational departments is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who are dependable, proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to motivate a diverse production team are well positioned for success as a CNC Shop Supervisor.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand and walk throughout production areas for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout manufacturing or warehouse environments as required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work around production machinery, material handling equipment, noise, and other conditions common to manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to remain active on the production floor while monitoring employees, equipment, safety, quality, and workflow.
