Overview
Placement Type: Temp to Perm
Salary: $115,000-120,000 Salary DOE
Duration: Salaried + benefits Are you a creative powerhouse who lives and breathes social media, with a knack for transforming intricate technical concepts into viral-worthy content? Aquent Studios is seeking a dynamic Preditor - part producer, part videographer, part editor - to own the entire content creation lifecycle for our client's social channels. This isn't just about editing; it's about conceiving, shooting, and crafting compelling narratives that resonate natively on platforms like TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. You'll be the singular force behind content that stops thumbs, sparks conversations, and showcases groundbreaking technology without ever "dumbing it down." Your work will directly influence how a broad audience understands and connects with the innovations that power the digital world. What You'll Do
- Shoot original short-form video content, including product features, talking heads, event/keynote coverage, and b-roll, taking a hands-on approach with camera operation.
- Develop and pitch innovative social content ideas that effectively communicate complex technical and product stories, such as chip architecture, performance benchmarks, product launches, and developer/enterprise use cases, to a wide social audience.
- Edit content specifically for social platforms, focusing on native pacing, engaging captions, impactful sound design, trending audio, and strong hooks, moving beyond repurposed long-form or corporate cuts.
- Produce content rapidly, often with same-day or next-day turnaround, to align with product news cycles, launches, and trending topics.
- Monitor platform performance data and iterate on content format and style based on what resonates most with the audience.
- Stay continuously informed about platform-specific best practices, including aspect ratios, caption styles, algorithm shifts, and emerging formats/sounds.
- Collaborate closely with social strategy, marketing, and technical/product stakeholders to ensure content accuracy while maintaining a native social feel.
- Manage your entire production workflow from concept to delivery, encompassing shooting, editing, and shipping assets with minimal oversight.
What You'll Need
- Proven, hands-on experience shooting, producing, and editing short-form social video, demonstrating proficiency across all three disciplines.
- Comfort and capability in operating camera and audio gear optimized for fast-turnaround social shoots.
- A strong ability to work with or translate technical and tech-industry subject matter for a general audience; experience in semiconductor, hardware, or broader consumer tech is highly preferred.
- Fluency in leading editing tools such as Premiere, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar, coupled with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- A keen eye for what drives performance on social media, including effective hooks, pacing, and trend integration, beyond just technical polish.
- The ability to self-direct and manage projects independently, from shooting to editing and shipping, without requiring a large crew or extensive approval chains.
- A compelling portfolio or reel showcasing native social content you have personally shot and produced from start to finish, ideally featuring tech, product, or B2B subject matter.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working with a chip, hardware, or enterprise tech brand.
- Experience covering product launches, keynotes, or developer events.
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills.
- Experience navigating brand voice and guidelines while still creating content that feels authentic and "unpolished-on-purpose" for social platforms.
