Position Title: Induction Furnace Operator Helper
Wage: $21.50/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am-1:00pm Monday-Friday Are you dependable, safety-minded, and eager to learn? We are seeking an Induction Furnace Operator Helper to assist with the operation of a molten metal induction melting furnace in a fast-paced industrial environment in Hartland, WI. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced Furnace Operator, gain specialized manufacturing experience, and develop valuable skills in molten metal processing. This temporary assignment offers more than just a paycheck. It provides an opportunity to showcase your work ethic, reliability, and ability to learn, which may lead to consideration for future positions such as Machine Operator or Mechanical Assembler once the assignment is completed. Induction Furnace Operator Helper Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist the Lead Furnace Operator with daily furnace room activities during molten metal melting operations - Support the safe operation of the induction melting furnace by following established operating procedures - Provide hands-on assistance with furnace setup, monitoring, and general production tasks - Follow verbal instructions and written procedures accurately and efficiently - Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures - Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) - Help keep the furnace area clean, organized, and production-ready Induction Furnace Operator Helper Requirements: - High school diploma or GED preferred - Ability to follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions - Strong attendance record and dependable work ethic - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to extreme heat, cold temperatures, dust, and dirt - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for 8+ hours per shift - Willingness to wear company-provided fire-retardant clothing, gloves, and helmet with face shield - Must provide and wear approved safety-toe footwear - Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
