Position Title: QC Technician
Wage: $20.00-$22.00/hour Shift: Night Rotating 12-Hour Shifts Hours: Week 1 - 2 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On Week 2 - 2 Days Off, 2 Days On, 3 Days Off We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in quality and understands the importance of producing products that meet customer specifications. QC Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Quality Inspection & Testing - Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, pi tape, weight scales, other inspection and testing equipment as required - Verify products meet customer specifications and quality requirements - Identify, document, and report defects or non-conforming product to production leadership - Make product disposition decisions based on established quality standards and specifications - Perform required product testing and maintain accurate inspection records - Inspect, tag, and release products according to established procedures Documentation & Record Keeping - Complete production and quality documentation accurately and legibly - Record scrap footage, scrap pounds, regrind percentages, production parameters, reel numbers, operator information, material usage, production times, and shift information - Ensure all required production paperwork is complete and accurate - Enter quality and production-related data in a timely manner - Maintain complete inspection records for traceability and compliance purposes Raw Material Verification - Inspect and test incoming raw materials - Document inspection results and maintain material quality records - Verify raw materials meet established standards before production use Safety & Compliance - Follow all company safety policies and procedures - Support and promote a safe work environment - Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area - Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and safety Team Support - Work closely with Production Operators, Supervisors, and Management to resolve quality concerns - Communicate inspection results and quality issues effectively - Support production teams in maintaining product quality and process consistency - Perform additional duties as assigned QC Technician Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience required - Ability to use precision measuring and inspection tools required - Basic computer proficiency - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Experience reading production documentation and specifications - Familiarity with document control processes - Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift - Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach - Lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds - Ability to visually inspect products and distinguish colors and defects - Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout a 12-hour shift - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, noise, and occasional outdoor exposure - Preferred experience in a manufacturing or extrusion environment - Preferred working knowledge of quality management systems and quality control procedures IND061 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
