Position Title: Lead CNC Lathe Machinist
Wage: $28.00-$38.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday We are seeking an experienced Haas CNC Lathe Operator for a potential-to-hire opportunity in Cypress, TX. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Haas CNC lathes while producing high-quality components to precise specifications. Candidates with experience machining fiberglass composite materials are highly preferred. Lead CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes according to engineering drawings and specifications - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions - Select tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets required for production runs - Machine fiberglass composite materials and other production components to required tolerances - Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely - Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools - Perform in-process and final quality inspections to verify product accuracy - Troubleshoot minor machine, tooling, and production issues - Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties - Record production data, inspections, and process adjustments accurately - Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes - Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when operating equipment and handling materials Lead CNC Lathe Machinist Requirements: - Minimum 3 years of Haas CNC lathe operation and setup experience preferred - Experience machining fiberglass composite materials strongly preferred - Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and machine setup - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings - Experience using precision measuring tools and inspecting parts to tight tolerances - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work independently and within a team environment - Forklift experience or certification is a plus - Ability to stand for the duration of the shift except during scheduled breaks - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly - Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
