Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $21.50/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 4:30am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday 4-10s We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our Celox and Thermocouple production departments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating automated manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting machinery, and maintaining efficient production flow. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate automated production machinery in the Celox and Thermocouple departments - Monitor machine performance to ensure products are manufactured according to quality and production standards - Utilize PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control panels to operate equipment and make necessary adjustments - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machine issues to minimize production interruptions - Clear machine jams and perform routine machine adjustments to maintain optimal operation - Load raw materials and components into machinery and unload finished products safely and efficiently - Conduct equipment inspections and report mechanical or operational issues to maintenance personnel - Perform basic preventative maintenance and cleaning of machinery as required - Verify product quality through visual inspections and measurement checks - Accurately complete production and quality documentation - Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards - Work collaboratively with supervisors, technicians, maintenance personnel, and team members to achieve production goals - Assist in changeovers and machine setups when necessary Machine Operator Requirements: - Previous experience operating automated production or manufacturing equipment required - Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills - Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery preferred - Ability to identify machine malfunctions and make operational adjustments as needed - Manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Basic math and problem-solving skills - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift - Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly - Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment safely - Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain productivity standards Preferred - Experience with automated assembly, production, or process equipment - Understanding of manufacturing safety practices and quality control procedures - Experience troubleshooting sensors, conveyors, feeders, and mechanical production equipment IND022 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
