Position Title: Welder
Wage: $21.25-$23.90/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Turn your welding experience into a long-term career. Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform MIG welding and occasional TIG welding on stainless steel tanks, components, and assemblies according to work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures - Fabricate, assemble, and weld tank systems and related products to company and customer specifications - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production documentation to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly - Verify fixtures, jigs, and components are properly aligned and positioned prior to welding - Inspect welds and completed products for quality, appearance, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications - Ensure welds are leak-proof and capable of passing required pressure and quality testing - Use measuring instruments and precision tools to verify dimensions and maintain product quality - Perform grinding, smoothing, polishing, and finishing of stainless steel products to meet customer requirements - Operate various hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively - Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area - Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining high quality standards - Collaborate with team members and assist in continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process - Support training and development opportunities to further enhance welding and fabrication skills Welder Requirements: - Previous manufacturing welding experience, preferably 6 months to 2 years in a production or fabrication environment - Ability to perform quality welds that meet company standards, customer specifications, and production expectations - Experience with MIG welding; experience with TIG welding and working with stainless steel, mild steel, or aluminum is a plus - Ability to read basic blueprints, work instructions, measuring devices, and inspection tools to ensure accurate fabrication - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship - Welding certifications are beneficial but not required - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training while also contributing to a team environment - Willingness to learn new skills, accept coaching, and continue developing welding and fabrication abilities - Reliable attendance, a positive work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safety - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and frequently bend, reach, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift IND022 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
