Successful west side law firm is currently searching for an experienced Legal Assistant to support a very established Litigation practice. This is a newly created position due to company growth! We are searching for an experienced legal candidate with exceptional skills and a high level of professional savvy! Responsibilities include - Establish and maintain relationships with clients, while acting as a liaison between clients and attorneys. Draft and disseminate various documents including court documents, correspondence, discoveries, motions, complaints, responses and discussions with attorneys. Prepare client agreements, engagement letters and closing documents. E-filing a variety of court documents. Manage schedules for court dates and deadlines, as well as attorneys calendar. Organize and maintain client files, both physical and electronic. File documents with the court system, schedule hearings, and maintain interaction with courts. Trial preparation. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years' litigation experience with strong knowledge of procedures. Must have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and be an independent thinker and self-starter. Excellent oral and written communication skills, a proactive work style, and high level of professional savvy. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with document management systems required.
