Talgo Inc. refurbishes passenger railcars for LA MetroLink at our Milwaukee facility, focusing on high quality mechanical and structural work to extend the service life of the railcars for another 30 years.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support production by developing, improving, and validating manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment while supporting day-to-day production needs. What You'll Do:

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, tools, and equipment
• Identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow
• Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and process audits to optimize production
• Support production by troubleshooting process issues and implementing corrective actions
• Coordinate process changes and engineering change implementation (ECO/ECN)
• Train production team members on new tools, processes, and procedures

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or similar industrial environments
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma preferred
• Transportation equipment or rail industry experience is a plus

Physical and Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Frequently required to twist, bend, reach, stand for extended periods, and work with tools
• Occasionally required to climb ladders and work in a confined space
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
