The Department of Kinesiology prepares students for careers in health care, human performance, education, and other related fields through accredited education, interdisciplinary research, and applied learning experiences.

The Department of Kinesiology ( KINE) at East Carolina University ( ECU) invites applications for a nine-month, fixed-term (non-tenure track) faculty appointment beginning August 2027.

The position will be expected to:

A master's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, sport performance science, rehabilitation sciences, or a closely related field (including, but not limited to, human performance, movement studies, physical education, or sport studies).

Possession of a relevant professional certification or credential, such as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist ( CSCS), Certified Performance and Sport Scientist ( CPSS), Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist ( ACSM- CEP), or Certified Exercise Physiologist ( ACSM-EP).
