DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides essential administrative support to the agency by reviewing investigations, handling communication and maintaining records. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Investigation Review: Review investigations for completeness and accuracy to meet retention requirements
- Communication Support: Answer and direct phone calls, record messages and respond to general inquiries
- Mail Handling: Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mailings and packages
- Report Tracking: Maintain and compile reports and consult with management on investigation issues
- Regional Support: Provide backup administrative assistance for all regions
- Physical Tasks: Lift and carry boxes of supplies and case files for short distances

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
