Hire Type: Temp-to-Hire (3+ months)

1st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm CT (Monday to Friday) - eligible for OT
2nd Shift: 4pm - 12:30am CT (Monday to Friday) - eligible for OT

Overview:

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints to determine materials necessary for projects as well as timelines to prepare for projects.
• Move materials to work areas in preparation for building product.
• Coordinate and stage materials quickly and safely

Requirements:

• 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience as a material handler is preferred
• Forklift certified preferred
• Ability to read blueprints to be able to pick appropriate materials
• Critical thinker who can make decisions and act on them
• Ability to follow instructions
• Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical and drug screen
