Job Summary
Are you a relationship-builder who enjoys coordinating impactful events and helping students launch successful careers? The University Career Center at UT Dallas is seeking a Coordinator of Employer Relations to join our dynamic team. This role supports the development of strategic partnerships with external employers, ensuring students and alumni have access to employment opportunities. You will play a vital role in organizing recruiting events, managing employer communications, and enhancing employer engagement on campus.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors degree and three (3) years relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Higher Education, or a related field
  • At least two years of experience in career services, employer relations, recruiting, staffing, or related areas
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events or projects
  • Strong marketing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems or recruiting platforms such as Handshake
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to travel to off-campus employer sites, and attend professional development opportunities and other relevant events. Must possess the willingness and ability to work an unconventional work schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all logistics for on-campus and virtual employer events (e.g., career fairs, info sessions, tabling, and networking events), including scheduling, room reservations, parking coordination, vendor communications, and technology setup.
  • Manage event-related communications including invitations, reminders, and follow-ups with employers, students, and campus partners.
  • Develop and maintain event timelines, assist with process improvements, and ensure successful day-of and pre-event execution.
  • Respond to employer and student inquiries through the recruit inbox, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot employer accounts in the online recruiting system (e.g., 12Twenty), including job posting approvals and user support.
  • Provide training and guidance to employers and campus staff on the use of recruiting platforms and event participation.
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to create and distribute promotional materials to drive student and employer engagement.
  • Support reporting and data tracking related to employer participation and student engagement in career events.
  • Work collaboratively with UCC team members and campus partners to deliver high-quality events and experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requires frequent movement across campus. Must be able to assist with room/event setup.

Remote Work Notice : After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
