Career Development Advisor

The Opportunity

The Career Development Advisor supports the Worldwide Center for Career and Professional Development by providing career guidance and resources to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni. This position assists with career planning, resume development, interview preparation, networking, and the administration of the Co-op/Internship (COIN) Program.

The Career Development Advisor also supports career events and conferences, student and alumni orientations, career-related technology and resources, placement data collection, and the development of instructional materials, presentations, newsletters, and social media content. The position collaborates with the Daytona Beach and Prescott Centers for Career and Professional Development, the ERAU Alumni Association, the Office of Professional Education, and other university departments.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is up to $46,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1-3 years of related work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide career guidance and support related to resumes, interviewing, networking, and career planning.
• Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and make appropriate decisions with limited supervision.
• Proficiency with digital technology and the ability to learn and utilize career services systems and software.
• Professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with students, alumni, colleagues, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in higher education.
• Experience supporting career development, student services, internships, or career-related programs.
• Excellent business communication skills.
• Familiarity with career services platforms and resources.
