Job Summary:

To effectively manage production through a team of Shift Managers ensuring standards are achieved on health and safety, production, scrap, quality, schedule adherence, production reporting and housekeeping.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand Mannington's strategy so that measures and objectives are put in place to achieve the strategy.
• Collate information from SAP, operators and machine data to analyze and produce productivity reports.
• Identify areas for improvement from the productivity report, developing ways to improve quality and reduce cost.
• Implement and monitor measures designed to improve performance and promote cost effective working.
• Perform and review risk assessments and safe operating procedures to ensure operators are working to the safest methods and to set procedures; communicating any changes to the finishing department.
• Work with other departments including finishing, quality, planning and engineering to ensure information vital to quality and schedule adherence is relayed to all concerned so that customer needs are met.
• Meet housekeeping standards and ensure consideration for the environment is undertaken by regular informal audits during day to day activities promptly dealing with concerns as they arise to keep within ISO14001 and health and safety regulations.
• Manage direct reports and the whole team, by communicating direction, increasing motivation levels and carrying out recruitment, induction, training and development as required.
• Meet Mannington's health and safety requirements as specified in applicable safety policies.
• Prepare budgets for the department and monitor and control budgets within approved limits and in line with the business plan.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages multiple Shift Managers and is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, AS 400, and SAP.
