The role supports and collaborates with the CEEE research and evaluation team on the design, implementation, and reporting of program evaluations undertaken by CEEE. Program evaluation includes curriculum development projects, professional development programs, informal education initiatives, training programs, and synthesis centers. The Program Evaluator will also be responsible for input, organization, analysis of and reporting on evaluation data. An ideal candidate would have a background or interest in education or social sciences, a basic understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, experience working in R and/or excel, and excellent writing skills. CIRES (pronounced "series") stands for the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences and is a partnership between CU Boulder and NOAA. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Assists with data cleaning, entry, and visualization (20%) Develops and sets up surveys in Qualtrics (5%) Conducts Interviews and focus groups (15%) Analyzes qualitative data, uses qualitative coding techniques (15%) Analyzes quantitative data (including website and social media analytics) (25%) Writes reports (20%) What You Should Know This hourly position is currently funded via grant funds. This is an on-call position with varying hours. We expect that the person hired in this role will work, on average, around 10 hours per week within the schedule of Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm US Mountain Time. No benefits are offered with this role. We would like the candidate hired in this position to start work as soon as possible and by November 1, 2026. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. What We Can Offer The hiring rate for this on-call hourly as needed position is $24.35 to $34.60 per hour. Salary is commensurate with education and experience and determined based on our CIRES internal career track classification. Benefits are not offered with the position. This position can be offered as hybrid or fully remote. The successful candidate is expected to provide a well-equipped work environment for themselves when not working at the University of Colorado Boulder campus. For fully remote modality, candidates must be located within +/- 2 hours of the US Mountain time zone and reside in the United States.
