The Inside Sales Supervisor plays a key role in providing daily hands-on, in-office, leadership for all lines of business and activities that are handled by Inside Sales staff. The Supervisor ensures prompt, efficient, quality service by effectively overseeing the dynamics, KPIs, Retention, and Sales activity of the Inside Sales Team.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Manage inside sales staff and all applicable lines of business and sales related functions
  • Coach, train, and motivate associates to ensure the best possible experience with new, existing and/or future customers when purchasing or having existing service with Rumpke
  • Oversee all lines of business and source of business, inbound, outbound, digital, referral and all other possible sources leads
  • Communicate and drive important information with other departments and management to resolve issues and drive work
  • Oversee all training and development, to include but not limited to Sales closing, sales retention, sales negotiation, sales efficiency, sales system (CRM) utilization and effectiveness
  • Monitor, own, and report on all KPIs and results as well as opportunities for training, compliance, gains and losses and sales goals
  • Maximize the closing of all lines of business opportunities through all available lead sources
  • Support and grow all lines of business revenue with high-quality customer service, sales, and retention activities
  • Regularly manage and audit database/CRM
  • Identify solutions and implement efficiencies in processes where applicable to improve overall activities
  • Oversee and support all administrative requirements and compliance with Inside Sales team on all lines of business
  • Provide strong leadership to the inside sales team by setting clear performance expectations, leading by example, coaching representatives on sales techniques and pipeline management, and fostering a collaborative, results-driven team culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position will manage 1-10 employees
  • This position will not oversee and direct other managers



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Proven and demonstrated excellent customer service skills, ability to be persuasive with customers keeping customer satisfaction as a guiding factor
  • Ability to motivate team and deal effectively with performance expectations and issues to excel above standards through proven leadership skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills in areas of personnel management
  • Ability to successfully coach and develop associates
  • Professional demeanor and telephone etiquette skills
  • Analytical/problem solving skills
  • Strong computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • 3-4 years' experience in a high volume Inside Sales, Sales Support, Administrative, or similar, required
  • Previous supervisor/management experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience using a company wide CRM or database management system



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Occasionally lifting/carrying a max of 10 lbs
  • Rarely lifting/carrying a max of 35 lbs
  • Rarely stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
  • Continuously sitting; frequently sitting/standing
  • Occasionally walking



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Ability to travel between offices, as required
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
