| Position Summary |
The IT Support Professional within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for providing technical support and technology services that enable the successful operation of admissions programs and initiatives.
This position serves as the Office of Undergraduate Admissions' primary technical authority for endpoint and mobile device management technologies and is responsible for the research, evaluation, architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise endpoint solutions. The position develops technical standards, evaluates emerging technologies, and makes recommendations that influence departmental technology strategy, security posture, and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will lead the design, deployment, and continuous optimization of endpoint management solutions, exercising significant independent judgment in determining technical approaches, implementation strategies, and operational standards.
They will have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to support a community of users with varying levels of technical expertise. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, significant independent judgment and the initiative to identify and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency, security, and the overall technology experience for Admissions staff under minimal supervision |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Demonstrated experience evaluating, implementing, administering, and optimizing endpoint management platforms and associated technologies.
- Experience architecting and leading technology implementations, conducting technical assessments, developing standards and procedures, and independently managing complex technical projects.
- Ability to analyze organizational requirements and translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to research emerging technologies, develop recommendations, and lead implementation efforts with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of enterprise technology environments, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint security solutions, device management platforms, collaboration technologies, and common networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and VPN connectivity
- Experience supporting or administering business applications and technology platforms. Familiarity with Technolutions Slate or similar CRM platforms used in higher education is preferred.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user technology support within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, providing timely and professional resolution of hardware, software, and account-related issues.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, lifecycle management, and ongoing optimization of endpoint devices in accordance with university security, operational, and technology standards.
- Analyze and resolve complex endpoint, application, and infrastructure-related issues while identifying opportunities to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency
- Manage the department's technology asset inventory and lifecycle program, ensuring accurate records, compliance with institutional standards, and informed decision-making regarding equipment deployment, utilization, replacement, and retirement
- Serve as the Departmental Network Liaison (DNL), coordinating with central IT organizations on networking, security, endpoint management, and infrastructure initiatives impacting the Admissions technology environment
- Serve as the department's technical authority for endpoint and mobile device management technologies, including the research, evaluation, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise endpoint solutions.
