We are seeking full time, entry level Corporate Legal Assistants to join our Capital Markets, Financial Institutions and Investment Management practices in New York beginning in summer 2027 (exact start dates to be determined). These positions are well suited for graduating members of the Class of 2027 and other entry level candidates interested in gaining substantive legal experience.

What We Seek
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong record of academic achievement; minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Willingness to make a two year commitment to the firm.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate with clients, lawyers, government agencies, service companies, vendors and firm staff.
  • Contribute to knowledge management efforts within the practice group.
  • Prepare and revise basic corporate documents.
  • Assist lawyers with transactional due diligence.
  • Prepare for SEC filings and closings, including tracking and maintaining closing documents and checklists.
  • Fulfill post-closing responsibilities, including closing set completion and distribution.

What You Will Do
  • Monitor financial regulatory developments, including agency rulemakings, meetings, guidance and regulator speeches, to support business development and knowledge management efforts.
  • Assist with researching, drafting and reviewing presentations and publications for client consumption.
  • Prepare, revise and maintain corporate governance documents, including board materials, resolutions and organizational charts.
  • Support closings by maintaining closing checklists, coordinating signature pages and preparing closing sets.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support to lawyers, including taking notes on calls, maintaining matter workspaces and tracking ongoing matters.
  • Coordinate with clients, lawyers and corporate services teams to support ongoing matters and practice initiatives.
INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

  • The Investment Management practice, comprised of over 200 attorneys in all 9 of our global offices, advises leading private fund sponsors and institutional investors throughout the full lifecycle of an investment fund.

What You Will Do
  • Support attorneys advising premier private equity clients in connection with the organization of some of the world's largest and most prestigious funds.
  • Prepare, revise and maintain various fund-related documents, including investor subscription documents, securities filings and tax forms.
  • Manage entity formation processes and draft, review and organize corporate governance documents.
  • Facilitate fund closings, including maintaining closing checklists and drafting closing notices to investors.
  • Communicate with clients, lawyers, corporate service companies and government agencies on a regular basis.
  • Develop a strong practice area knowledge, assist with business development efforts and contribute to general and practice specific trainings.
