Job Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) at Maricopa Community Colleges (MCCCD) is adding a Senior PeopleSoft Developer - Enterprise Systems to the PeopleSoft Support and Development team. This position plays a key role in supporting MCCCD's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, including Human Capital Management (HCM), PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS), and Financial Management System (FMS). The role supports production, development, upgrades, and enhancements, and designs and develops new functionality to meet evolving business needs. The work of the Senior PeopleSoft Developer - Enterprise Systems directly supports the systems and processes MCCCD employees and faculty rely on, including benefits and payroll. With MCCCD's continued investment in PeopleSoft and enterprise technology, this is an opportunity to expand technical knowledge across Student, Financial, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and other enterprise systems while continuing to grow within MCCCD's ITS team. Essential Functions
30% - Modifies and adapts existing code and creates new, complex programs using standard procedures and techniques with limited supervision; performs and/or leads testing activities; develops new, modifies, and maintains required documentation; ensures final quality assurance and integrity of deliverables 30% - Troubleshoots, investigates, analyzes, and solves complex and escalated PeopleSoft software problems as identified by the functional team and end users 20% - Serves as technical lead for medium- to large-sized projects; performs technical modifications required for regular application patches and tools upgrades 10% - Collaborates with third-party vendors and Oracle Services to implement external integrations; holds vendors accountable for meeting SLAs and performance standards 10% - Mentors and provides guidance to junior developers; performs related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and four (4) years of technical experience in programming, systems analysis, and/or the design and development of system software and applications. OR An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certifications sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Technical certifications may be used towards the substitution of the above-mentioned requirements for education and/or experience. Substitution amounts for certifications are based on the duration of time it takes to obtain the certification, the difficulty to obtain the certification, and/or the desirability of the certification as related to the business needs of the assignment.
