Essential Functions

25% - PR & Marketing Strategy and Program Management
Serves as a subject matter expert in public relations and marketing; develops and implements strategic PR and marketing initiatives for Future48 and GateWay Community College; leads projects from concept and planning through implementation and evaluation; advises stakeholders on positioning, messaging, audience engagement, promotional strategies, and brand application; coordinates stakeholders, vendors, creative resources, timelines, and deliverables; applies independent professional judgment to communications, marketing, branding, and reputational considerations; builds and maintains relationships with program leaders, community partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.

20% - Strategic Advisory & Multimedia Communications
Advises program managers and stakeholders on advanced marketing and communication strategies; researches and analyzes audience needs, program information, market trends, and available data; develops strategic recommendations based on research, analysis, and emerging industry practices; prepares, edits, and develops complex and executive-level presentations, marketing designs, and campaign materials; coordinates and produces photography, video, digital content, and other multimedia communications; determines appropriate content, messaging, formats, and distribution channels to achieve communication objectives.

15% - Marketing Budget & Resource Management
Develops, plans, monitors, and evaluates the Future48 Semiconductor Accelerator marketing budget; establishes spending priorities aligned with marketing strategies and program objectives; forecasts expenditures and monitors campaign, vendor, and resource costs; evaluates resource utilization and recommends adjustments to maximize marketing effectiveness; coordinates marketing procurement and expenditures in accordance with District requirements; provides budget analysis, status updates, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

15% - Project Leadership & Institutional Initiatives
Provides advanced professional expertise and project leadership on college and District initiatives, committees, and cross-functional teams; leads and coordinates project priorities, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables; provides guidance and coordination to project team members and contributors; identifies communications needs, emerging issues, risks, and opportunities; recommends strategies and solutions to support institutional objectives; communicates significant project issues and recommendations to leadership; supports high-priority communications initiatives and special projects; performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in public relations, marketing, journalism or related field and four (4) years of advanced journey level experience in developing, planning and implementing public relations and marketing activities, projects and campaigns.

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience developing and executing integrated communications and marketing strategies.
B. Experience leading complex marketing/PR projects, coordinating stakeholders, vendors, timelines, and deliverables.
C. Experience using marketing research and data to develop messaging, presentations, digital content, and multimedia campaigns.
D. Experience tracking of marketing budgets, reconciliation, procurement, vendors, and resources in a public-sector and/or educational setting .
E. One (1) year full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years.

Special Working Conditions

*    Will be required to travel or be assigned to all GateWay locations/campuses
*    May require some evenings or weekends
*    May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
*    Climbing stairs and/or ladders to reach assigned areas along with working at heights. 
*    Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
*    May be required to lift or carry up to #50 lbs
*    Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at the candidate's own expense
*    MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas
