Velocity Applications Engineer - Customer Facing / On-Site

We are seeking a highly motivated Velocity Applications Engineer to work directly with semiconductor customers deploying and using the Velocity test automation platform.

This is a customer-facing, hands-on technical role focused on helping customers successfully integrate Velocity into their DFT, design verification, and production test environments. The Applications Engineer will work on-site with customer engineering teams to understand their test methodology, assist with implementation, troubleshoot technical issues, optimize workflows, and drive successful adoption of Velocity.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in semiconductor test, ATE, digital test, or DFT and is comfortable working directly with customer engineers in fast-paced development and production environments. Experience with AI methodologies, AI-assisted engineering workflows, or agentic automation is highly desirable.

• Serve as the primary technical interface between Velocity engineering and customer DFT, design, product, and test engineering teams.
• Work directly with customers on-site to deploy, configure, and integrate Velocity into their semiconductor test workflows.
• Understand customer DFT and test methodologies and translate those requirements into effective Velocity solutions.
• Support conversion and deployment of digital test content from EDA/DFT environments to ATE.
• Troubleshoot customer issues involving test patterns, timing, pin mapping, test program integration, simulation, and ATE execution.
• Analyze Velocity logs, test results, conversion output, and customer data to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Help customers improve test development productivity, pattern conversion performance, and first-time-right test deployment.
• Support Velocity technologies including pattern conversion, REPLAY, test program automation, debug, compression, and related EDA-to-ATE workflows.
• Work closely with internal Velocity software engineering teams to reproduce customer problems, define requirements, prioritize issues, and validate fixes.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI-assisted analysis, automation, agents, and intelligent workflows to improve customer productivity and accelerate debug and test development.
• Provide technical feedback from customers to help guide Velocity product development.
• Conduct customer demonstrations, technical workshops, training sessions, evaluations, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Assist customers during critical silicon bring-up, production ramps, and new technology deployments.
• Develop application examples, best practices, documentation, and reusable customer workflows.
• Build strong technical relationships with customer engineering teams and become a trusted technical resource.
• Travel to customer sites as required and provide hands-on support during critical projects.
