Careers Infrastructure Engineer (Entry Level) Greenville, South Carolina Garver's Water Design Center in Greenville, SC is seeking an entry-level Infrastructure Engineer to advance water infrastructure specific projects. The Infrastructure Engineer will play an active role on a multi-disciplinary team of design engineers and CAD technicians focused on the production of design phase deliverables including reports, studies, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, details and specifications. The infrastructure engineer must be capable of working closely with clients to ensure their expectations of service are exceeded. Specifically, responsibilities will include design of a variety of projects related to: Water distribution including pump stations, storage facilities, and distribution mains Wastewater collection including lift stations, force mains, and gravity sewers. Pipeline inspection and rehabilitation Basic water/wastewater hydraulic principles Water and Wastewater master planning In addition to design, this role will include coordination with other support disciplines, coordination with regional offices and regulating agencies, and quality assurance and quality control. Periodic travel will be required on an as-needed basis for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties. The WDC was created to bring together every unique discipline necessary to design custom solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure, including civil, environmental, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, construction, applications, and operations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program 0-1 years of applicable technical design experience Engineer In Training (EIT) or ability to obtain a EIT registration within 6 months Must have strong communication skills Must be passionate about client service and the water industry Must have a strong work ethic Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook Preferred Skills: Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, Autodesk Revit, and/or Civil3D Water and Wastewater consulting experience Working knowledge of engineering principals related to water and wastewater including vertical infrastructure, hydraulics, pipeline distribution and collection Fundamental understanding of the multi-disciplined practices (i.e. process, surveying, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control) required for the implementation of water/wastewater infrastructure improvement Grow with Us Garver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
