Our Space division is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our dynamic team in East Aurora, NY or Niagara Falls, NY. This Buyer/Planner will have primary procurement responsibilities for multiple business areas, supporting Assembly & Test and other functions. This role requires a mix of strategic supplier development and day-to-day buying activities to ensure program schedules are met and cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved. You will report to the Process Manager and enjoy a collaborative working environment with a hybrid schedule on first shift.

To be considered for our Buyer/Planner role, here's what you will typically need to bring with you:

• A Bachelor's degree (ideally in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or similar)

~OR~

• An Associate's degree and 2 years procurement/planning experience

~PLUS~

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong sense of urgency
• This position requires a full physical which includes bloodwork and Pulmonary Function testing

It would also be ideal if you had the following preferred qualifications:

• Any advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus
• Experience with PowerBi
• Experience in supporting lean manufacturing

As our Buyer/Planner, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:

• Acting as a procurement specialist within the organization representing supply chain
• Creating and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodity/categories
• Negotiating suppliers, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and risk reduction
• Managing supplier performance, on-time delivery and quality metrics; escalating and resolving supplier issues
• Collaborating with shop planning, production, and engineering to support component gating and kit releases
• Performing data-driven analyses and trend analysis to identify opportunities and forecast needs
• Placing and expediting purchase orders; monitoring PO status and delivery dates
• Providing reliable completion and delivery dates to internal stakeholders
• Supporting master planning with basic forecasting inputs and procurement lead-time updates
• Participating in cross-functional problem-solving initiatives to remove supply constraints
• Leading continuous improvement activities for the procurement function or business unit

• Occasional travel to our Niagara Falls NY site may be required

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
