The College of Computing & Artificial Intelligence (CAI) is UW-Madison's first new college in more than 40 years, bringing together three established and highly regarded departments: Computer Sciences, Statistics, and the Information School. Building on their longstanding strengths in research and education, CAI advances interdisciplinary discovery spanning computing, data, information, and artificial intelligence and prepares students to shape how technology is designed, developed, and used for the public good. Position Summary: We are seeking excellent candidates for multiple tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in Statistics. The successful candidates will engage in the intellectual life of the Department through scholarly research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, graduate student mentoring and supervision, and university and professional service. They will proactively contribute to, support, and advance the college's commitment to excellence among all aspects of their teaching, mentoring, research, and service; which includes making significant contributions to the department's teaching mission through course development and delivery to undergraduate and graduate students in one or more fields of specialization.
