How you'll make an impact:

SiriusXM is seeking a strategic, creative, and data-driven Associate Director, Content Marketing to lead the development and execution of multi-channel content marketing campaigns that drive subscriber acquisition, deepen listener engagement and strengthen brand affinity.

This role will oversee content marketing across paid, owned, and earned media for both SiriusXM and Pandora. From promoting exclusive artist channels and major sports seasons to launching hit podcasts and celebrity talk shows, you will ensure our content shines across all consumer touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is a modern content leader who understands how to build integrated campaigns, manage editorial calendars, lead cross-functional teams, and turn audience insights into breakthrough creative. The Director of Content Marketing will partner closely with Brand Marketing, Growth Marketing, Programming, Talent Relations, Social, PR, Product Marketing, Creative, CRM, Partnerships, and Analytics teams to ensure SiriusXM shows up with consistent, engaging, and measurable content across the listener journey.

What you'll do:

Content Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and lead content marketing strategies across SiriusXM and Pandora, programming categories, tentpole campaigns, talent partnerships, cultural moments and audience-growth initiatives.
  • Create integrated content plans that support brand awareness, listener engagement, subscriber acquisition, retention, win-back, and cross-platform discovery.
  • Translate programming priorities into marketable stories, campaign themes, editorial packages, social-first concepts, landing page content, video franchises, short-form copy, and partner-ready messaging.
  • Own and manage a cross-channel content calendar that aligns marketing, programming, social, PR, CRM, product, and partnership priorities.

Campaign Development & Execution:

  • Lead the content strategy for major campaigns tied to SiriusXM and Pandora programming, exclusive channels, artist moments, sports seasons, comedy specials, talk programming, live events, podcasts, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Partner with Creative and Brand teams to develop campaign concepts, copy platforms, video/storytelling ideas, and audience-specific content assets.
  • Collaborate with Growth, Lifecycle, and CRM teams to create content that moves listeners from discovery to trial, conversion, engagement, renewal, and advocacy.
  • Support partnership marketing efforts by developing content packages and co-marketing narratives for talent, media partners, advertisers, automotive partners, device partners, and distribution platforms.

Audience, Performance & Insights:

  • Use audience research, behavioral data, search trends, social listening, content performance, and campaign analytics to inform content strategy and optimization.
  • Define KPIs for content marketing initiatives, including engagement, reach, conversion, retention, content consumption, click-through rate, subscriber impact, and campaign lift.
  • Lead regular performance reporting, turning insights into clear recommendations for future creative, channel strategy, programming support, and audience targeting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as a senior content marketing partner to Programming, Product, Brand, Growth, Social, PR, Partnerships, CRM, Sales Marketing, and Analytics teams.
  • Lead cross-functional planning sessions to align campaign goals, audience priorities, messaging, asset needs, timelines, and distribution strategies.
  • Manage stakeholders through complex campaign development, balancing creative ambition, business objectives, legal requirements, talent approvals, and production timelines.
  • Partner with internal and external creative resources, agencies, freelancers, producers, writers, designers, editors, and video teams as needed.

Team & Operational Leadership:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing content marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, collaboration, and measurable impact.
  • Create scalable processes for intake, prioritization, editorial planning, content development, approvals, asset delivery, reporting, and post-campaign learning.
  • Manage budgets, agency scopes, freelance resources, production timelines, and content operations with discipline and transparency.
  • Stay ahead of trends in audio, streaming, music, podcasts, sports media, creator marketing, entertainment marketing, short-form video and audience development.

What you'll need:

  • Typically has 8+ years of experience within a content marketing and/or digital marketing function, preferably within digital, Mobile and/or email channel.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Bachelor's degree with focus on marketing or related field, or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Leadership Skills: You're a people manager who has experience leading teams. You're someone that has a clear vision and strategy for your org. You know how to effectively communicate department goals to your team, as well as motivate and support your people in meeting those objectives. You always put your people first - you listen, inspire and coach.
  • Entrepreneurial: You're a self-starter who gets excited at the chance to run initiatives end-to-end with full ownership and autonomy. You have no problem getting down in the weeds but can also pivot to be strategic and provide thought leadership support.
  • Results-Oriented: You are someone that drives outcomes with a demonstrated track record for improving results in business performance. You take a focused approach towards action and rapid testing. You know how to extract learnings from both wins and losses.
  • Analytical & Intensely Curious: You have a strong aptitude for data and reporting. You are familiar with and embrace tools of the trade including Tableau or similar BI platforms (i.e. Adobe reporting, Google Analytics, etc.). You are constantly analyzing all available data. You're always building a roadmap of hypotheses and experiments to test to improve results for the business.
  • You're a Facilitator: You are acutely aware of all the moving pieces necessary to build campaigns and can collaborate with other groups to execute.
  • You have a creative streak: A keen eye for top performing creative and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and design and copywriting teams to develop best in class creative executions.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, public speaking, presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and an ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a highly fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $115,000 to $155,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
