Senior DevOps & Automation Engineer
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in DevOps Automation, Application Support, Release Management, and Production Operations for mission-critical applications.
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Docker, SonarQube, and Jira.
- Strong scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, Shell Scripting, Perl, and/or Batch.
- Experience supporting applications built on .NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, Java/J2EE, IIS, and SQL Server.
- Strong database experience with SQL Server, DB2, PL/SQL, and stored procedures, with exposure to platforms such as Sybase, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, including deployment, migration, monitoring, and operational support.
- Experience with application deployments, upgrades, hotfixes, platform migrations, regression validation, and post-production verification.
- Experience with vulnerability remediation, security patching, system hardening, disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting integrations across distributed applications, databases, secure file-transfer systems, cloud services, and Mainframe platforms.
Functional / Banking Skills
- Strong experience supporting banking or financial-services applications, preferably within Payments, Personal Banking, or Business Banking.
- Knowledge of payment processing, exception management, collections, adjustments, disputes, reconciliation, remittance, billing, and financial accounting.
- Experience supporting or working with applications such as TRIPS, ARP, ARMS, ERS, PRP, PEP+ Billing, IAS, and XAA Billing is highly preferred.
- Understanding of banking transaction lifecycles, reconciliation controls, batch/file processing, financial operations, regulatory controls, and business continuity.
- Exposure to Mainframe technologies such as DB2, COBOL, CICS, REXX, and batch processing is preferred.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Crystal Reports is an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 production and operational support for mission-critical banking and payment applications.
- Support payment exception processing, returned items, collections, adjustments, disputes, reconciliation, remittance, billing, and accounting platforms.
- Perform application deployments, release management, upgrades, hotfix implementation, and platform migrations.
- Design and maintain automation for deployments, batch processes, secure file transfers, monitoring, operational workflows, and disaster recovery.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Docker, SonarQube, and related tools.
- Develop PowerShell, Python, Shell, Perl, and Batch scripts to reduce manual operational effort.
- Monitor production environments and perform incident troubleshooting, root cause an alysis, problem management, and permanent remediation.
- Lead or support vulnerability remediation, security patching, compliance activities, and system hardening.
- Support AWS and Azure migrations and modernization initiatives across banking applications.
- Support applications integrating Mainframe, distributed systems, databases, cloud services, and secure file-transfer platforms.
- Perform regression testing, production validation, and post-deployment verification following releases.
- Support disaster recovery planning, automation, execution, and testing.
- Collaborate with business users, vendors, infrastructure, operations, security, and application teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain support runbooks, deployment procedures, technical documentation, DR plans, and knowledge repositories.
- Develop or support operational dashboards and reporting using Power BI, Tableau, and Crystal Reports.
- Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, reusable utilities, and continuous operational improvement.
Salary Range- $85,000-$110,000 a year #LI-OJ1
