The basics of this position:

Support Nursing or other Health professions students in achieving educational goals by providing tutoring and study strategies appropriate to courses.

What you'll do:

• Support nursing and healthcare professions students by providing tutoring, which includes helping build confidence, develop a study plan, take notes effectively, apply lecture material to clinical situations, understand course material, etc. Lead test prep sessions.
• Communicate regularly with faculty and colleagues to establish appropriate support to students. Market tutoring services to students and faculty.
• Healthcare professions may include Respiratory Care, EMS/Paramedic, PTA, OTA, Dental Hygiene, Surgical Tech, Radiologic Tech, and Sonography. Tutoring may include reviewing concepts in Anatomy & Physiology.
• Education, experience, and other requirements:

Associates degree or higher in nursing or other profession you will tutor. Empathy, patience, organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or higher in nursing or other health profession. 2 years of professional experience in healthcare field. Experience tutoring or mentoring students or new professionals. Willingness to provide virtual tutoring.
