You Belong Here Patient Tech - CNA - Medical Progressive Care Unit Night shift - 36 hours The Medical Progressive Care Unit is a 21-bed high acuity step-down unit, caring for critically ill adult medical patients. The patient population includes those with complex organ diseases, requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, and continuous monitoring. Common medical diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleeding, liver failure, and DKA. This is a highly skilled floor, from which new staff will gain instrumental experience. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 2:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity. There is an opportunity for growth on the MPCU, regardless of where you are in your career!
