Radiology Technologist

Location: Lutherville, MD

Shift: PRN (Wednesdays Required)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations used for diagnosis and treatment. Provides appropriate patient care and acts as the Radiation Safety Officer for the ASC, operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations used for diagnosis and treatment. Provides appropriate patient care and acts as the Radiation Safety Officer for the ASC. The Radiologic Technologist responds to patient questions and concerns regarding the exam process and procedures. He/she maintains appropriate confidentiality regarding personal health information, including but not limited to demographics, diagnosis, health history, and physician referral information. This person is responsible for all paperwork associated with technical procedures and responds to physician questions and needs regarding patient procedures.

Requirements:

Required Licensure, Certification,

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

(ARRT), or registry eligible, and a Maryland State Licensure for Medical Radiation Technologist; CPR Certification needed.





Work Experience:

One year of diagnostic radiology experience is required.





Education:

Work requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program. Registered or registry eligible. Must be licensed by State of Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance as a Medical Radiation Technologist.
