Job Description

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for the cost basis and pricing of products and services in support of proposals for new and repeat business activity. The Pricing Analyst supports proposal preparation, proposal cost volume development, cost estimation, and total evaluated price optimization with proposal teams, while ensuring compliance to FAR/TINA/CAS guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Principal duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for compliance to customer specifications/ requirements for cost\price and formulate questions for customer response
  • Develop and maintain estimating templates for input by proposal team members
  • Develop standardized price lists or price models for products and services
  • Build and maintain database of records to support commerciality of products per FAR 2.101
  • Maintain templates for input by proposal team members, consolidating and analyzing results
  • Coordinate with Functional Directors across the company to understand cost drivers and differentiation across product lines
  • Provide reviews of cost estimates prior to delivery and review by senior management
  • Facilitate consolidation of supporting data packages for customer review and Government audit
  • Assist in preparation of financial briefs and participate in proposal
  • Participates in fact-finding and contract negotiations both locally and at customer locations
  • Assists in the formulation of negotiation strategies to meet company objectives
  • Prepares TINA certification sweep analysis and documentation
  • Able to interface with all levels of employees and management, may be required to interface within industry and customer communities at a commensurate level
  • Preparation and management of fully compliant cost/pricing models and deliverable volumes, including the coordination and review of key inputs such as bills of material, Labor BOEs and hours, freight matrices, etc.
  • Includes analysis of historical costs and performance, cost input efficacy, cost, and schedule relationships, etc.
  • Assist in the completion of proposal presentation packages and lead pricing and financial reviews with management
  • Lead and support continuous improvement activities to streamline the proposals process and maintain a high level of quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics
  • Min 4+ years Government Contracting experience in Program, Finance and\or Lead Pricing roles
  • Intermediate analytical skills including statistical concepts
  • Ability to read and understand FAR/DFAR/Cost Accounting Standards/local contract clauses
  • Ability to develop pricing initiatives
  • Ability to work proficiently in both independent and group settings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Desired Skills:

  • Aerospace and Defense Industry experience including working knowledge of company product lines
  • Experience working with DCMA / DCAA
  • Experience with parametric pricing methodologies
