Inova Health System's Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 2 to join our Unit team supporting Arrhythmia Services. This position is full time, One weekend per month and one day per week call. Responsibilities
- Effectively utilizes Inova Health System Inventory Management systems.
- Assists RNs to accurately explain procedures to patients and families to ease anxiety.
- Troubleshoots equipment effectively and places service calls to Biomedical when necessary.
- Anticipates procedure flow and works with other team members to produce the highest quality care.
- Provides a safe environment and identifies hazards immediately. Follows unit protocols to take corrective actions as needed.
- Demonstrates proficiency in imaging modalities in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology such as digital, laser printing, and cut film.
Requirements
- Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional(CI)
- Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist is required only if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital.
- Experience - One year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Education -Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology; Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred
