Patient Technician II - PCT - Acute Med/Tele Full Time - Rotating - 36 hours The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Nelson 6 is a 23-bed medical floor, with capacity for 12 patients in need of cardiac telemetry monitoring. Nelson 6 is a dynamic acute care/telemetry unit that exemplifies award-winning patient care and interprofessional collaboration. Our inclusive Clinical Care team partners with physicians, rehabilitation therapies, care management, and support staff to provide exemplary patient care to diverse patients with complex co-morbidities. The service provides care for a multitude of medical diagnoses including patients presenting with heart failure, liver failure, respiratory failure, and end stage renal disease. Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
