Electronics Technician

Job Description

EBAD seeks a skilled technician for the position Electronics Technician. The Electronics Technician will support EBAD's Electronics Assembly Line in a High-Mix Low-Volume Manufacturing environment. EBAD's product catalogue introduces a healthy work type mix of Development and Production builds.

This position is located in Simsbury, CT and will report to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Hand solder small, complex components and connectors per J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements
• Perform Potting and Encapsulation operations using a variety of different materials and mixing methods
• Assemble Electrical and Electro-Mechanical assemblies
• Assemble Cable and Wire Harness assemblies
• Assemble Test Equipment, embedded in mobile rack systems
• Support Inspection of Electronics Assemblies per IPC-A-610 Class 3
• Support Inspection of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies per IPC-A-620 Class 3
• Read, Understand and Execute to drawings, process specs and manufacturing instructions
• Assist Engineers in manufacturing process development
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing area
• Maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles

Requirements:

• Electronics Assembly Experience Required (PCB Assembly and Electro-mechanical Assembly Knowledge)
• Current or Previous J-STD-001 Certification
• Must be able to read and understand process documents such as drawings, manufacturing instructions and process requirements.
• Flexibility to work with varying levels of procedural detail
• Strong communication skills to be able to work with Engineers, Inspectors and other technicians
• Must have high school diploma

Desired skills:

• Current or previous IPC-A-610 Certification is preferred but not required
• Current or previous IPC-A-620 Certification is preferred but not required
