The Department of Chemical Engineering in the Swenson College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Duluth (UMD) seeks applications for a postdoctoral associate to work on ongoing research projects in the research group of Prof. Sam Toan. We are currently seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our group to perform experimental work on electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction and direct ethanol fuel cells. The projects offer opportunities for both academia and industrial collaborations. The initial appointment will be for one year with further appointments contingent upon performance and funding. The research projects will focus on the synthesis of electrocatalysts, electrode design, device assembly, and testing. In addition to collaborating with internal/external partners, the postdoc researcher will present scientific discoveries to conferences, proposal preparation and publish peer-reviewed papers. A competitive salary will be commensurate with education and training. Duties and Responsibilities
