As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist trainee, will go through a progressive training program to become proficient in Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Pain management, Vascular, and Interventional Cardiology procedures. The trainee will perform a variety of technical and patient-oriented duties during cardiovascular procedures, including, but not limited to cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertions, arteriograms, venograms, digital subtractions, vascular studies, nephrostograms, angioplasty, and other related studies. Equipment utilized may include, but is not limited to monitoring equipment, surgical instruments, cardiac output machine, pulse oximeter, ECG machine, intra-aortic balloon pump, cine film processor and viewer, etc. The Cardiovascular trainee will observe, assist, then perform invasive procedures with the physician, perform ECGs, monitor patients during procedures, and prepare test results and data for review. They will also collaborate with the physicians and nursing staff to assist with pre and post-procedure management of patients according to Lab guidelines. Competency achievement is expected in identified areas for the successful completion of the Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist trainee program.

Minimum Qualifications:




  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • One (1) year of cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
  • Current radiologic technologist licensure in the State of Maryland.
  • Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Current CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred.
  • IV certification by HCGH within ninety (90) days of hire date.



Day Shift

8:00am-4:30pm

Weekend and on-call required

Retention Bonus: This amount will be paid in one lump sum within your first three (3) paychecks after starting employment, and completion of the program. This payment will be included in your gross income as wages and subject to withholding of all applicable taxes.

The bonus carries a two (2) year commitment in a full-time or part-time status. You agree to reimburse JHHSC in the event that you voluntary terminate your employment or reduce your working hours to less than thirty (30) hours prior to the completion of two (2) years of service. The reimbursement shall be according to the following rates and schedule:




  • 100% if employed in full-time or part-time status for less than twelve (12) months, or
  • 50% if employed in full-time or part-time status less than twenty-four (24) months.



JHHSC will withhold or deduct this amount from your wages, severance or other final pay upon the voluntary termination of your employment or reduction of your working hours to less than thirty (30) hours prior to the completion of two (2) years of service. This reimbursement obligation shall not apply if your employment is discontinued due to your death, disability, incapacity, or in the instance of a not-for-cause involuntary termination. In such an event, no further reimbursement payments shall be owed by yourself or any of your beneficiaries.
