WorldStrides is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and coordination of strategic projects from initiation through implementation. This person will be an integral part of a small cross-functional project team and will collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities, coordinate to execute objectives, and deliver solutions leveraging project management best practices. The successful candidate will work directly with executive level stakeholders and project teams to deliver results.
Primary Duties:


  • Project Prioritization, Execution and Governance


    • Develop and manage project schedules, resources, risk and issues to ensure maximum business benefit is maintained as well as providing regular project status updates
    • Work with cross functional stakeholders across the business, such as other Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Senior Leadership and the Executive Team to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects
    • Leverage strong project management background and understanding of tasks required to deliver various projects and initiatives
    • Articulate business concepts and business details, as well as possess a working understanding of the inter-dependencies between project tasks
    • Develop detailed project plans and ensure the scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders


  • Project Documentation


    • Identify and track key project milestones and measurement reporting (baselining, critical path)
    • Monitor and communicate the progress of project delivery and ensure timely and effective communication of project status in terms of cost, forecast, schedule and assessment of risks/issues


  • Standard Department Member Responsibilities:

  • B.S. or B.A
  • 5-7 years of Project/Program Management experience and methodologies
  • Familiar with the Agile framework
  • Demonstrated experience of a Lean mindset
  • Heightened sense of urgency and resolve; act as a change agent
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and report multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Demonstrated experience with complex projects for a large global organization
  • A motivational style that inspires others to achieve great things and aggressive objectives
  • Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization
  • Passion to create a sustainable and equitable world for team members, customers and our communities

Desired Skills/Experience:


  • Project Management Certification
  • SAFe 5/6 Certification(s) (Agilist, Lean Portfolio Manager, Practice Consultant- SPCs)
  • Experience in the education industry, K12 or Higher Ed
