Manager of Fulfillment Technology

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Fulfillment Technology to oversee the selection, implementation, and management of our fulfillment technologies. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of both technological and operational aspects of order fulfillment, ensuring our systems operate smoothly, efficiently, and are continuously optimized for performance.

This position is designated as 100% on-site at our Distribution Center in Gardner, KS.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Implementation and Management:

• Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of fulfillment technologies, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), order picking robots, and conveyor systems.
• Ensure ongoing maintenance and upgrades of these technologies to maintain optimal performance.

Data Analysis and Optimization:

• Analyze data generated throughout the fulfillment process to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Utilize data-driven insights to implement process improvements and optimize workflows.

Integration and Automation:

• Ensure seamless integration between different fulfillment technologies and existing systems.
• Identify opportunities for automation to enhance the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of fulfillment operations.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to understand their challenges and ensure that implemented technologies meet their needs.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure technical integration and support.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to stay updated on the latest technology trends and solutions.

Project Management:

• Lead and manage technology-related projects within the fulfillment center, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Training and Support:

• Provide training and support to warehouse staff on the use of fulfillment technologies.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for technology usage and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing and implementing warehouse or fulfillment technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent project management skills, with a track record of leading technology projects to successful completion.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), automation technologies, and integration processes.
