Manage key compliance and administrative operations functions of the Student Health Center (SHC). Formally serve as the appointed Privacy Officer for the health center to develop, manage, monitor, and implement processes in alignment with federal HIPAA and FERPA regulations, state privacy laws, and University policies; coordinate and partner closely with the University Global Privacy and Data Office. Perform core privacy functions related to incident detection and reporting, initial assessment, containment and risk mitigation, investigation, notification of individuals, documentation and reporting, and post incident review and preventive measures, and training and awareness. Oversee compliance and enforcement of state immunization mandates health information management/medical records, health center related training, and professional development. Develop, revise, and/or review health center specific policies (administrative, compliance, HIPAA, FERPA, etc.) and training. Serve as a subject matter expert for staff inquiries on health center and University policies. Liaise closely with enterprise units within the University to enhance communication and collaboration and align goals and strategies. Co-manage the clinical credentialing compliance process to review health care providers' qualifications to practice and assess the qualifications of specific types of providers. Perform administrative operations duties related to clinical affiliation agreements, accreditation preparation, change management, emergency management coordination, project management, strategic procurement and compliance, and onboarding and offboarding functions, etc. Qualifications Required Education: Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Preferred Certification/Other Qualifications: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS), Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $140,000.00 to USD $160,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
