Administers field office activities and services which may include the supervision of office staff (typically 5-10 people) to achieve maximum productivity and expense control. May develops procedures and policies for administrative activities, such as records maintenance, document preparation, timekeeping, mail distribution, reception, and other related internal operations. May purchases and maintains office equipment and supplies. Tracks and analyses operational costs. Coordinates delivery of office services with other departments. May manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

Supervisor role has full responsibility for assignment of work and performance, and possibly hire/fire authority. Typically supervises hourly and/or craft personnel. Technical school graduate with 7+ years relevant experience in area of specialization or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Supervise single, less complex functions. Responsible for the daily administration of company policies and processes in order for the functional group to meet business objectives. Works with limited supervision. Understands broad duties assigned at beginning of projects. Work is assigned in terms of objectives, relative priorities, and critical areas that impinge on work of other units. Work is reviewed to ensure policy conformity and soundness of approach. Informed guidance is available. Supervisor role has full responsibility for assignment of work and performance, and possibly hire/fire authority. Typically supervises hourly and/or craft personnel. Strong ability to Inform and persuade on complex matters through preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and management. Strong understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.
